💙🧡Learning, Laughing & Making Memories! 🧡💙 Intersession was all about FUN, friendship, and making memories for our Kindergarten and 1st Grade Sea Kings! 🎉 From hands-on activities and plenty of smiles to those little moments that make school so special, our youngest Sea Kings showed us that learning can be an adventure! 🥰✨ These are the days they’ll remember—and the memories that make school more than just a place to learn. 💙🧡 🏁 Racing to Proficiency… and making memories along the way! 🏁

🔎➕ Math Detectives on the Move! 🕵️‍♀️🕵️‍♂️ During intersession, our 4th and 5th graders proved that math doesn’t have to stay at a desk! 📚➡️🏃‍♀️ Students got up, moved around, and put their skills to work during an interactive math scavenger hunt! 🔍➗✖️➕ They practiced their skills, solved problems, searched for clues, and discovered that there’s plenty of math fun to be found all around us! Because when you’re Racing to Proficiency, sometimes you have to get up and chase the math! 🏁💙🧡💙

🍬🌽 A Little Candy Corn Competition! 🌽🍬 After reading The Candy Corn Contest during our intersession novel study, our second graders decided to put their estimating skills to the test! 🎃 A jar FULL of candy corn… one big question: How many pieces are in the jar?! 🤔🍭 Our Sea Kings made their best guesses, and then it was time to see who came closest! 🏆 🎉 Congratulations to Javion, who took home the candy corn prize!

🏁📚 The learning doesn’t stop when the bell rings! Our fifth graders squeezed in some math fun during intersession, proving that when you’re Racing to Proficiency, the learning never stops! 🏎️💨➗✖️ Who says learning math can’t be fun? These Sea Kings were putting their skills to work, challenging their thinking, and having a little fun along the way! 💙👑 Keep racing, Sea Kings! 🏁

🍎✨ Kindergarten Counting Café was the perfect way to wrap up our Apple Unit! ✨🍎 Our Kindergarten friends have been busy learning, counting, building, and creating! They celebrated mastering their numbers 1–10 during the first nine weeks by practicing with math manipulatives, counters, and pattern blocks. They even put their skills to the test with Color & Shape Bingo! 🔴🔺 Then it was time to put their engineering skills to work! 👷‍♀️👷‍♂️ Students used teamwork, problem-solving, and a little trial and error to construct towers strong enough to hold a basket of apples. They also explored measurement with the question, “How many apples high?” 🍎📏 And what’s an Apple Unit without a little creativity? Our Sea Kings made homemade apple play dough and wrapped up the week with a delicious treat—apple pie nachos! 😋🍎 From counting and measuring to building and creating, these little learners had a week full of hands-on learning and apple-themed fun! 💙👑🏁

🍭 Sweet Writing Fun in Mrs. Grimes’ Class! 🍭 Mrs. Grimes’ class had a sweet time learning about adjectives! They enjoyed a delicious lollipop while using descriptive words to bring their writing to life. ✏️🍭 Who knew writing could be this sweet?! 😋📚

🏗️Second Grade Engineers at Work! 🏗️ Today, our second graders put on their engineer hats and teamed up to build the tallest free-standing structure! 📏 There was lots of communication, trial and error, problem-solving, and a few “aha!” moments—including discovering that a strong foundation matters! 💡 After all the building, rebuilding, and teamwork, Killian and Harley walked away with the winning structure! 🏆🎉 Way to build, think, collaborate, and problem-solve, Sea Kings! 💙🧡💙👑

🍧📚 QUEST helped K celebrate Hispanic Heritage today—and it was SWEET! ❤️💚 We read Paletero Man and then did what any good readers would do… enjoyed popsicles just like the story! 😋🍦 A little reading, a little culture, and a whole lot of yummy fun! 🎉✨
