September 15th is International Dot Day, a global celebration of courage, creativity, and collaboration, inspired by the book The Dot by Peter H. Reynolds.

Ms. Johns's 3rd grade class took this opportunity to build arrays with Dots candy, the perfect activity for Dot Day math instruction! 🔵🟠

Our Quest 4th & 5th grade students had an incredible experience connecting with the research team aboard the E/V Nautilus!

Through a live virtual session, they got a behind-the-scenes look at the cutting-edge technology and underwater robotics driving modern ocean exploration. Beyond seeing the equipment in action, the students were able to engage directly with the researchers, asking insightful questions about their work and the pathways into careers in marine science and technology.

Opportunities like these are vital for sparking curiosity and showing students the real-world impact of STEM education. We’re so proud of our students for their engagement and are excited to see where this inspiration leads them.

We had a fantastic Open House on the night of August 25th! The night started out with our annual Title I meeting in the auditorium. Then excited students and parents got to spend some time talking to the teachers and viewing student work. Last but not least, everyone had the opportunity to grab a to-go spaghetti dinner from our cafeteria. We love having our families in the building! 💙🧡
